And by “it” I mean travel, why what were you thinking? Forget Dubai, the Disneyland of the Middle East. Doha, the half-million strong capital of Qatar, is not usually high on many travelers’ lists of destinations, but with temperatures in the mid 70’s at its coldest and a modern, cosmopolitan feel co-existing with its timeless culture, Doha should be a must for any trip to the ancient land. Here’s a look at what it’s like to travel to the city that’s home to the Al Jazeera headquarters (surprisingly pleasant looking studios) and some of the region’s best beaches. And if you think some of your friends or family might worry you’r heading there just tell them you’re heading to Dubai instead and that you’ll bring them back a Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt.
