A Look Back At Midsummer 2008

I was doing some maintenance on the site yesterday when I came across my Scandinavia Blog from 2008 and realized that it was exactly one year ago to the day that I left for that trip. Isn’t it odd how something that happened a year ago can feel like it just happened as well feel like it happened such a long time ago?

Anyway, Scandinavia’s a great place to visit during the Midsummer (occurring this weekend), and I miss it, and probably will every Midsummer from here on out. I guess that’s how it goes, right?

If you happen to be in the New York area, you can check out the Midsummer celebration in Battery Park City. Time Out is reporting that this may be the last year for the event due to Sweden’s decision to shut down its New York consulate. Varför!?
