Nothing says local culture like street food, hence the reason you find reindeer sausage in Anchorage and fish tacos in L.A., two of some of the best examples of good grub on the go found in the otherwise decidedly bereft world of street food in America.

But there are a few exceptions, like the above two, as well as Hong’s Chinese Dumplings in Burlington, Vermont; Kwik Meal (Middle Eastern) in New York City; and burritos from Fuego Burritos in Portland, Oregon. For the full list click here.
