The two parts of this article are great! My family is from Cartagena and Barranquilla, and I'm always sharing this kind of stuff. The photo of your lunch in Playa de los Muertos is something my mom makes all the time. Thanks for sharing your great travels. Are you travelling/traveled to Barranquilla?

I know, it's always tricky — wanting to write about someplace, but at the same hoping it preserves it's own secret charm. Oh well, I guess that's the dilemma of all travel writing. Thanks for the nice words, and thanks for letting me visit your neck of the woods!

I love your writing, so full of great humor.
Having lived in Santa Marta and spent many hours in Taganga, I loved this BUT also hated it! I always thought it was my very own secret and that it would take many more years to be discovered. HA, with your great writing now everyone who wants an experience rather than a trip; will be rushing there.
Have to go read more of your wonderful site.
