10 Films That Have Inspired Me To Travel
One of the upsides to having other contributors to the site is that I get to piggyback on their creatively and ingenuity to create my own posts. So here we go.
Anyway, Jon’s post about films that inspire travel got me thinking about which flicks make me want to hit the road. Yes, I did watch “He’s Just Not That Into You,” on the flight out of New York and I must admit it inspired me to want to travel to a deep cave and never come out again.
But seriously, ten movies off the top of my head that have inspired me to travel would have to include, in no particular order:
- The Motorcycle Diaries
- Out of Africa
- Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World
- The English Patient
- Lawrence of Arabia
- Before Sunrise
- Seven Years in Tibet
- The Last Emperor
- Dr. Zhivago
- The Talented Mr. Ripley
What’s your top 10? Comment freely. But, be warned, any inclusion of “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” or “Titanic” will merit prompt removal from the comments section.
