Trekking Kat-kat-katmandu
I can’t express how mad it makes me that I associate Katmandu with that horrible Bob Seger song, but I’m hoping Michael Murphy’s newly posted vid is going to change that.
Mike covers most of the bases you think of regarding Katmandu — Temples, hippies smoking hash for the “holiday times” — as well as a few surprises — cremating bodies, the city’s own Khao San Road — but more importantly, and something I strive to do but seem never to pull off in my own videos, Mike actually has some useful info for potential travelers to the country. Specifically: how to get your must-needed Trekking Permit (hint: don’t rely on your Lonely Planet guide, it’s outdated and won’t lead you to the right spot.)
