Point well-taken, though for me it’s not even as much about the fact that the places we’ve dreamed of visiting are utterly clogged with tourists, but that many of those tourists are so, well…disrespectful and rude.

For instance, Americans visiting Paris are quick to say how rude the French are, but have you seen how some of these American tourists behave in Paris restaurants, museums and shops?

I believe what our mothers told us is true: Treat people the way you’d like to be treated. It won’t always work, of course, but a majority of the time it does.
