I loved El Nido..I just spent 1 week there but it’s worth it. Really quite and a nice place to spend if you want to relax off work. Nice place to dive also. I hope to get back there one day.. Ohh.. really much like the bananaQ and the labana.

Thanks Jodi for your comments. You reminded me of the girl making BananaQ on the main street, should have mentioned her in the article! That guyabano/labana fruit is also worth going for. Hope you get to visit again soon.

I spent 2 months living in El Nido (with the family who runs The Alternative there) and absolutely loved it. You captured the wonder and beauty of Palawan and the fact that ever corner brings something new to discover. I’ve not been back since, but have received emails from people in town echoing your words, that the pace of development hasn’t been easy on the infrastructure (or lack thereof) and the town. I hope to get back next year, but I’m sure it’ll be a bit of a surprise, and quite a difference from the quiet, sleep place I feel in love with. Hope you ate a lot of BananaQ when you were there!
