Although many of these can and should apply to male travelers, it’s always interesting to get the perspective from “the other side.”

I was trying to think what I would add if this was for solo guys? Maybe some sort of body spray, since nothing stinks more than a long-term male backpacker. 

I can’t say that I’ve ever brought tampons with me on a trip, but for the reason you give (helping out a friend in need), maybe I should reconsider?
