If you weren’t in Tahrir Square, you’d never know anything was happening. And I even   to Tahrir Square on a Friday (which is the big protest day) and never felt unsafe. Overwhelmingly, the message from Egyptians everywhere was “Tell the world that Egypt is safe!”
