Breaking News: “No Reservations” Is Going Off The Air — Bourdain To CNN

It’s official: No Reservations will be ending its run on Travel Channel this year to allow for Anthony Bourdain’s foray into primetime television hosting duties on CNN, as originally reported by TVNewsers’s Alex Weprin. As described in a statement issued by CNN Statement, the new show will be coming in early 2013, episodes will be shot around the world, and the shows will “examine cultures from around the world through their food and dining and travel rituals.” No word yet on show replacements. Potential newbie hosts: time to start dusting off those CVs.

CNN does a lot of their own production in-house, so the scariest part of this is that he may stop working with ZeroPointZero productions, which has been such a huge part of making No Reservations the great show that it is. Hopefully they’ll be doing the transfer with him.

The good news is that it looks like he’s sticking with ZeroPointZero for the transition.
