The Guardian’s collected their 10 favorite cafes in Buenos Aires to sit back and do what the Porteños do best: leisurely eat and drink. I can’t think of many other places in the world that has perfected the practice of doing just that, with meals stretching for hours on end and a cup of coffee that could easily be the excuse for an afternoon away from home.

#2 on their list, Mama Racha, located in Palermo Soho, is probably the best situated of the 10 on the list for the true lounge-seeker. This neighborhood is perfect for people watching (the city is known to have some of the most beautiful people in the world and they flock to Palermo) and the neighborhood’s home to some of the best bars, restaurants and nightlife spots in the city, making your cafe outing a perfect interlude for a night out (trust me, you’ll need the caffeine to help you make it through the notoriously late nights enjoyed here).
