Wednesday Travel Deals (Buenos Aires For Nothing, Europe On The Cheap, Phoenix For A Song)

• New York to Buenos Aires for $437 this fall? Esto es la verdad. This one had me rubbing my eyes to see if it was true. Maybe I had eaten some bad poutine in Montreal and things were a little fuzzy. But it seems to pan out, and the price includes taxes. Flights are for October 4-15 and November 1-30.
• Chicago to Dublin for $490. This is one of a score of other great deals from American Airlines for flights from the U.S. to Europe for the end of the summer, most in the $500 - $700 range. Not that you put off planning this long . . .
• I don’t normally do hotels here, but summer’s a great time to splurge a bit and stay somewhere excruciatingly hot, like Phoenix, where you can stay in luxury pads like the Scottsdale Resort for well under $100 a night. So what if it’s pushing 120 degrees during the day? You’ll think back with fond memories come January.
