I guess I like to think of myself as being like the Gandhi in this Twitter debate, just trying to bring the two sides together so we can sew our own clothes and plant our crops in peace. I'm so twittering that.

A balanced opinion! I wish it were posted sooner. I commented (not a fan of Twitter), but I can see why people would find it useful. While most people thought Rolf was Condescending to Twitter and those that Tweet and I personally felt the article at BootsnAll was a bit condescending to those that are "unplugged." The author mentions repeatedly how the unplugged travelers use demeaning phrases like "adolescent navel gazers" and takes Rolf to task for "should-ing" travelers, yet she makes no mention of the assumptions the pro-twitter people make about how people who prefer to travel with less technology simply MUST be inexperienced and newbies. You know what they say about ASSumptions.

As I stated there, I'm 27 and due to my fortune of being born when I was, simply can't get away from technology. So to assume I have no experience just because I voted for unplugged makes me want to digitally slap someone. But I respect their use of Twitter and hope they respect my choice not to tweet.

What was my point? Oh yeah, loved this. I just think you presented both sides fairly and accurately. Thanks!
