True, many people are looking at US$500k+ condos as a vacation home, but I just saw an episode of a young couple buying in Santiago, Chile with a budget of US$100k. And I've seen episodes in Central America and Turkey with similar budgets. Those are my favorite, as I could see myself looking in that price range.

I love House Hunters International, too. But, uggh..everyone's rich. I feel like the wealthy all just blend together when it comes to traveling/country hopping. Sure, the homes and the respective decor featured on HHI are gorgeous and many have a cultural sensibility about them (e.g., blue Moroccan tile in the bathroom of a luxury home in Marrakesh). But, I just don't see it as a travel show…

Hey Travel Channel!! You probably need someone to scout the areas Matt's heading to next. You know, to visit key spots, drink the local brew, partake in the way of life… all that good stuff you find on HGTV… ah, I mean Discovery Channel… oh, no- TLC. Dammit, Travel Channel. Yeah, that's it– Travel Channel.
