From chicken products factories to potato chips bags to Hershey’s kisses created by the millions each day and consumed by millions each day our “diet” brings us heart disease, diabetis, even cancer and other health problems all for the sake of Wall Street profits. This corporate dietetic tragedy has spread beyond our borders to other nations and they, in turn, are developing similar health problems. It is ironic perhaps to consider that nations devoid of this health attacks may survive with healthier popluations on the long road of survival. A recent news item about a British teen’s health problems after eating McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets most of her life, reported the content of this food offered by this company. You can find the specifics by finding the article but fully 50% of these items were not chicken.  Past reports indicated there was sand in Taco Bell’s meat on several items in their menu. Perhaps this report on Cuba’s food supply indicates to us how little food we really need each day and how we can for the most part prepare foods at home rather than spend our money for corporate garbage served in a nice environment that can eventually kill us. The one food I cannot fathom purchasing is breakfast when I am at home. Yet, people say they do not have “time” to eat breakfast at home but have “time” at the drive thu window of take out fast food places while spending 1000 percent more than what is available in our refrigerators.
