Please Welcome Stefanie Acworth To TheExpeditioner

Tuesday, June 17, 2014

You know what has been missing around these parts lately, these parts being A new Pulitzer? A strict HR policy about sick leave? Cubicles? Yes, all of the above, but most importantly, new blood. And, no, I’m not referring to the ill-advised after-work fight club that was the brainchild of staffer Luke Armstrong (legal is still unraveling the spate of litigation associated with that endeavor).

I’m referring to another great, talented, wandering writer to the team. And on that note, let me introduce you to Stefanie Acworth, better known as the brains behind, one of Australia’s leading travel blogs. Stefanie knows a little bit about travel, having visited 162 cities in 36 countries in 4 continents . . .  and counting, in her short life thus far. She will be joining us as the newest Contributing Editor.

Hailing from that magical land in the Southern Hemisphere known as Australia, Stefanie quit the corporate world and struck out on her own back in early 2013, starting her own copywriting, strategic media planning and marketing management consulting company, Canvas Communications.

This, on top of continuing to publish A Modern Wayfarer, her travel blog, which she describes as being “dedicated to boutique and soul-satisfying travel for the young and young-at-heart. It is for those fellow desirers of wander and seekers of the unknown, those kindred spirits and glamorous bohemians who feel that there’s too much beauty, too much amazement in the world to stay still for too long.”

Besides the normal flow of wisdom, insight and ramblings about what life would be like to live in a castle in Italy, all of which you’ve come to love and expect from TheExpeditioner, you can expect some excellent content in the future from Stefanie featuring her unique voice and special insight rooted in her extensive life of travel.

And with upcoming trips planned in 2014 including stops in Barcelona, Malta, Switzerland, Germany, Croatia, Italy and Iceland, one thing you can definitely expect is to not get bored anytime soon.
