We’ve Added A Top 100 Articles Section
After an arduous weekend of strict instructions and beta testing with a team of crack engineers in the bowels of TheExpeditioner.com’s home office, we’ve added a new section to the site: Top 100 Articles (which you can click on in the menu above on your desktop, or at the bottom if you’re on a mobile device).
Given the number of archival articles on the site, I thought this would be a fun and click-baitey feature that will help some older articles resurface, and maybe act as a good time-waster when you’re having trouble falling asleep. It’s also a useful and interesting tool for me to see what kind of articles people like to read (or at least the ones most people click on and/or that show up highest in Google results).
A cursory review of the list reveals at least one common trait: you people love the list articles. Say what you will about “Top ____” lists, the fact is, people are obviously clicking on a lot of these, as evidenced by the list. I might add, yes I do publish list articles, but I at least try to only pepper them in conservatively among the longer, narrative-style articles that I enjoy reading so much, and which I hope you do too.
So have fun heading down that rabbit hole of archival content, and hopefully you’ll have as much fun reading them as I did publishing them over the years.
