For balance, I’m not the only writer who rates this bar. A real shame to hear about people having negative experiences, but so difficult of course, to aportion blame accurately for bouts of sickness. Ardosa made a cnn travel list just a couple of months ago http://travel.cnn.com/10-madrids-coolest-tapas-bars-372451 and continues to ride high on any number of ratings sites.
]]>Ugh, that’s terrible news. Well, the good thing is you have lots of options.
]]>Thanks Matt – I only noticed yesterday. There’s a bar of the same name – historically linked – at that other address and I hear it’s very good but it isn’t the one I reviewed :)
]]>Updated!
]]>ps The address for Bodega de la Ardosa should be Calle Colon 13
]]>Good point about the map, Andy but these bars are all fairly central. Madrid has a good metro system that will help you get out to the La Latina neighborhood. Good luck and enjoy!
]]>My wife’s first visit to Madrid so she’s pretty excited!
]]>What a great article!!! Thank you for keeping us abreast if the trends on Madrid!!!
]]>Thanks so much for commenting! Love your site and would recommend it to anyone looking for a passionate insider’s take on the city.
]]>Tapas is to Spain as Guinness is to Ireland – it might be available everywhere but it’s at its best in the mother country ;)
]]>Would be great to show you round a few, Katherine!
]]>Near cuatro caminos you have Norte y Sur, great marisquerÃa, meat and beer!!!
]]>Ah yes I just looked it up, had never heard of it. Crinkle cut fries and sauces, interesting twist on the bravas thing. You threw me because the word is more generally applied to Mexican restaurants.
