]]>Hi Ryan,
Those visions of the hostage crisis in Iran are what create this illusion that it is a dangerous place, especially for those who lived through the 70’s.
It’s definitely an amazing country to travel in and I’m glad that this article makes you want to go!
Reading your blog has definitely made me want to visit Fiji.
Cheers.
]]>Hi Edgar,
Thanks for the comment! We agree, Turkey is another amazing country. Definitely full of some brilliant sites and friendly people.
]]>You’re everywhere!
Awesome post, and what a fun perspective of a truly amazing nation. I’m about 40 years old, and having grown up in the States I had such a different view of Iran as a kid. Our government fed us images of the hostage crisis, The Ayatollah, and such a negative version of the nation, but what did I know? I was like 4 years old in the 70’s, and my mind was wide open.
Over the years I’ve heard so many amazing things about the Iranian people, most of all, that they’re pretty much the friendliest, most inviting people on earth. That alone makes me want to go.
If they rival the people here in Fiji as far as friendliness, and kindness, then I am all in, because these folks are the most warm people in the world that I’ve met so far…..and you guys have painted such a wonderful picture of folks in Iran. Love it, and love this post.
As an aside, I appreciate your hustle. You guys are doing great. As a dude who was featured on 40 plus blogs in 3 months – many outside of the travel blogger niche – and who’s also published 5 eBooks during that time frame, I can honestly say you guys are blogging outreach machines. Absolutely awesome!
Tweeting now, thanks so much for sharing, and signing off from Savusavu, Fiji.
Ryan
