The Expeditioner Presents (Episode 4): Puerto Rico with Mickela Mallozzi
In the fourth episode of The Expeditioner Presents, I sit down with Mickela Mallozzi of TravelBareFeet.com to discuss Puerto Rico. Bare Feet is a travel web series and blog featuring the different ways people celebrate together around the world, with a focus on dance, music and traditional culture, featuring videos hosted and produced by Mickela herself.
Mickela and I discuss our experiences and tips from our recent travels to Puerto Rico, including Mickela’s tips on where to experience the local dance scene and learn the local dance Bomba, why Mickela believes dance is such a great way to learn about other cultures, and my own experience exploring the small island of Culebra off the eastern part of the Puerto Rico mainland.
And just to spice things up a bit, I recount my recent outing to see the show Showgirls: The Musical, based on, yes, believe it or not, Showgirls (the movie) — hilarity and awkwardness ensue.
