Maybe this is just the cold weather hater in me, but as a native New Yorker I never recommend people come here in the winter. New York is a trillion times better in the spring-summer-early fall. You can walk around without freezing your butt off and stepping in a giant slush puddle and there’s so many more free, outdoor events during the warm season! But I guess New York still has it’s charm in the winter.

These are great suggestions! While it’s chilly, you could also ride the staten island ferry for almost free, sneak into shows at intermission, or get tested for free and pick up some free condoms while you’re at it ;) Though a bit unorthodox, there are loads of free things to do in nyc.

Way to insult the largest borough in NYC. And the other boroughs have lots of things to offer, but of course to non-new yorkers the only places that are worthwhile are gentrified williamsburg and manhattan
