It didn’t take long for tiny Macau, officially a “Special Administrative Region of China” — whatever that is — to overtake Las Vegas as the biggest gambling city in the world<\/a>. The real shame is how many of those 20 million who hit the tables so far this year<\/a> didn’t get a chance to see the real <\/em>Macau, the first and last European colony in China. Given its history, it’s no surprise how much there it to see there, from the ruins of St. Paul’s Cathedral<\/a> built back in 1598, to Mount Fortress, the sprawling fort with amazing views of the casino cityscape (pretend to blow up the Sands with a cannon!<\/a>).
